A roomten photoshoot is rarely a well planned exercise, and this was true on a sunny early morning in June in the depths of North Devon on the edge of Exmoor.
Ed our wonderful equine model was use to doing much grander things as a racehorse, but on this morning we disturbed his routine and he let his best pal Elisa know, who fought well to stop Ed galloping off in to the distance.
Drew, our photographer was as focussed (nice pun?) as usual and managed to guide the duo and get some great shots. This may sound simple but when you have to consider lighting, background, clothes doing what they should do and Ed imagining he was at his favourite racecourse and wanting to get first past the finishing post, this was indeed a tall order.
The second half of the photoshoot was a much calmer affair, Ed had settled down and was beginning to enjoy the limelight of a super model. And this meant Elisa could begin to relax too.
The whole shoot took about 3 hours, I think both Ed and Elisa were pleased and relieved when we finally finished. Both were great sports and we had some fun whilst doing the shoot. And of course we love the end results, well done Drew!
The very next day Elisa called me with some new ideas for the next shoot with herself and Ed, the experience couldn’t have been that bad after all!
Here’s to the next Ed and Elisa adventure and photo shoot!
